MANNINGTON – A new collaboration between Salem High School, Salem Community College, and the Memorial Hospital of Salem County will be offered to students attending Salem High School.

The course, Introduction to Allied Health and Nursing, is instructed by Ruthanne McKnight-Chelius, a practicing nurse at Springfiled Hospital, Pennsylvania, a part of the Crozer Keystone Health System.

She is also adjunct faculty for Salem County College and Widener University.

Recently, students toured the MHSC and look at their areas of interest.

According to Chelius, Richard Grogan, hospital CEO, has volunteered to come to the high school to speak with students.

Grogan will be part of a program of speakers who will visit Salem High School weekly for the remainder of the school year.

Several MHSC nursing and health leaders will serve as speakers in the class.
