SHS Helps Earthquake Victims in Haiti | SHS Helps Earthquake Victims in Haiti | | Print | |

During January, students at Salem High School worked on a number of different fund-raising efforts to help Haiti. Crutch Collection. They helped in the collection of crutches, which were transported to Cooper University Hospital on Saturday 1/23/10 for the next team of doctors traveling to Haiti, later in the week. Doctors from Cooper University Hospital in Camden have been in Haiti, with supplies including the donations for doctors to distribute to earthquake victims. Franklin Banks in Salem County, also served as a drop-off location, a total of 101 sets of crutches, four canes, and two walkers were collected. Other projects included: A total of $1,077 was collected by students. A grand total of $1,600 was collected with the help of the staff. Money was raised by:
