The first meeting of the Freshman class will be after school this Wednesday (September 24, 2014) in Ms. Clour's room A45. All freshman are welcome to attend. This meeting will be a brainstorming meeting to discuss ideas for Homecoming, spirit week, and our float - and should be no more than an hour. Listen to the announcements for additional meetings to come.

See You At the Pole is an event where students all over the world gather at their school flagpoles to pray for their school, friends, families, nation and the world. Join us Wednesday September 24th at 7:00 am at the flagpole in front of the school for this student-led prayer rally. Any questions see Mrs Hudock.

Any student in need of more Sub Sale Tickets for the Student Council Fundraiser, should stop by Ms. Bartlett's room A-50 afterschool or during homeroom!

The Booster Club is sponsoring a mum sale for the homecoming football game on Saturday, October 18, 2014. The mums cost $5.00/each and will be used to decorate the field that day. They may be picked up after the game. Please place your order and include your name and year of graduation with Mrs. Hudock by October 8, 2014.

Representatives from various colleges will be visiting Salem High School. You can sign up to see them in the Guidance Office.

See Mrs. McCoy-Cuff in the Guidance Office if you are interested in attending a scholarship event at Lincoln Technical Institute on October 11, 2014.

Information for various art contests is posted outside C35, the art room. Various awards and/or scholarships are available throughout the year so please look often if interested.

Lunch today is toasted cheese sandwich or chicken nuggets & pretzel sticks. Veggies:  Tomato Soup, tater tots, choice of fruit, choice of milk.

All young men are reminded that when you turn eighteen you must register for Selective Service within 30 days of your birthday.  Not registering is a felony.  You will be fined $250,000 and you may also have to serve up to 5 years in prison.  You will also lose certain benefits such as student financial aid, government employment, and US citizenship for male immigrants.  Registration forms are available in the Main Office and at your local post office or you can register online at www.sss.gov
