Salem at Gloucester voted South Jersey Times Game of the Week

The Salem at Gloucester High School West Jersey Football League Classic Division matchup was voted the South Jersey Times Football Game of the Week.

Both teams will bring 2-0 records into the contest. The Rams knocked off Glassboro, 24-10, last week while the Lions survived a thrilling 22-21 victory over Deptford.

The Salem-Gloucester matchup held off a late charge from Haddonfield at Paulsboro. Salem-Gloucester picked up 5,553 votes, while Haddonfield-Paulsboro garnered 2,962 votes.

Other games in the poll included Timber Creek at Delsea, Egg Harbor at Vineland and Williamstown at Cherry Hill East. Click here to see all the results.

The winning game gets a preview which will run on-line on NJ.com Wednesday and in Thursday's South Jersey Times. The chosen game will be covered with a game story and photos running on-line and in print and with a live update post and photo gallery on-line from the game.

And 50 of the NJ.com mini-footballs will be delivered to the game and thrown into the crowd by cheerleaders from the home and visiting team.
