WSC 2017: London
From 6-12 August, 2017, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) will hold a World Student Conference at King’s College London, London, England, United Kingdom.
“Well-being in a healthy world:
personal responsibility and global health"
How do your individual actions define you, your mind and your body? How does what you do impact on the health of people across the globe?
This summer, King’s College London, one of the world’s top 25 universities, invites students to take action for the future. World leading experts and practitioners from across the fields of global health, policy, psychology and philosophy will guide students as they explore the relationship between personal action and resolving the global challenges of the 21st century. What do we need to do to improve the well-being of the most vulnerable people? Can the psychological practice of mindfulness make for a happier life? How can your own lifestyle choices along with the findings of global health researchers reduce inequalities for communities? Such questions will serve as a springboard for you and your Global Action Team to create plans that set out a pathway to improve the well-being of each and everyone of us.
Based in the heart of London, one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse capitals, this five day conference will capitalise on King’s’ future-shaping research to challenge your view of the world and task you to become a true change maker.
