The Mosaic Peace Garden Project is a large scale outdoor Mosaic reflecting Peace in our World.
The project involves the 420 children enrolled in the school; some are helping with the actual work that includes developing imagery, the making and glazing of tiles, and the actual installation. To support literacy gains many will keep a daily journal to record the art process, reflect on learning, and to express feelings about the project experience.”
When finished the project will beautify the outside main entrance of the school, and give the students a sense of pride and ownership of their school.
The Peace Mosaic Project is partially funded through a grant from the Perkins Center for the Arts, Lowes and The Rotary Club of Salem Sunrise.
