The Salem City School District will be a high performance district as demonstrated by the Salem City students who:  
Exceed state standards in literacy and computation, develop intrinsic motivation to pursue education in and outside of the classroom setting, master the skills necessary to retrieve and analyze information, and become lifelong learners.

$30-million endowment will reward hard-working Salem City students

SALEM —Students enrolled at schools in the city school district will have the chance to take advantage of significant financial benefits thanks to a $30-million endowment left to them by former Princeton University professor and Salem resident, Forman Sinnickson Acton.
